Boxstar 2800 at Barton Jones Packaging

We have supplied and installed a GTS Boxstar 2800 at Barton Jones Packaging's manufacturing facility in Letchworth Garden City, UK, supporting the company's continued investment in its in-house corrugated packaging capabilities.

The investment enables Barton Jones Packaging to expand the range, size and quantity of corrugated boxes it manufactures, responding to growing demand for bespoke, large-format and heavy-duty packaging.

The GTS Boxstar 2800 uses vibrating knife technology to cut corrugated sheetboard directly from digital designs, allowing manufacturers to produce a variety of box styles and sizes without the need for conventional cutting formes for every design.

This flexibility makes the machine particularly suitable for short production runs, prototypes and bespoke packaging requirements, including oversized boxes, double wall packaging, internal fittings and dividers.

For Barton Jones Packaging, the installation complements its existing platen die-cutting and converting equipment, providing greater flexibility when selecting the most appropriate production method for individual customer requirements.

The additional capacity also allows the company to bring more production in-house, improving control over manufacturing schedules, quality and lead times while offering customers greater flexibility in box dimensions and order quantities.

The installation forms part of Barton Jones Packaging's wider investment in its Letchworth Garden City operation, where the company manufactures, stocks, assembles and distributes packaging products.
