We are delighted to confirm we recently secured an order for a five colour Weipong Venus 1625 SSTKB rotary die-cutter from UK-based Challenge Packaging Ltd.
The five colour rotary die-cutter is being specified as an ‘inside out’ machine, with three flexo units printing the outside of the sheet and two flexo units printing on the inside of the sheet. The line, which will also be equipped with Absolute chambers and Sandon anilox rolls, features an advanced stripper stacker unit for accurate bundling or multi-out pieces. It is due to be installed in the second half of 2021.
“This is the fourth Weipong flexo converting line to be ordered in the UK,” says David Willliams, MD. “This line is proving to be a really solid performer and is gaining a lot of interest with mid-sized sheet plants who are looking to grow their capacity for printed and die-cut work. It offers excellent return on investment and with the service and support offered by GTS Europe. Existing customers are seeing good levels of output for a mid-level investment.”
