We are delighted to report that we have recently completed a sales contract with Manchester-based T.G. Nuttall Packaging Ltd, for the supply of a 2 colour Weipong Venus 820 casemaker.
The machine - which will be Nuttall’s second Weipong and the 11th Weipong flexo converting line in the UK - will be installed in the 2nd quarter of 2024.
“When we took delivery of the first ever Weipong in the UK back in 2019, we knew we had the right machine for us,” comments Chris Bywater, Managing Director, T.G. Nuttall. “Prior to ordering the first machine, we made several trips to China to see the Weipong factory and visited several installations locally – we were instantly impressed with the designs from Jimmy Hsiao, the owner, and the build quality was superb. Thanks to a great working relationship with both Weipong and their agent, GTS Europe, we have really got this first line running at pretty much full capacity, so the next logical step was to order a second machine ensuring increased capacity and a broader offering in terms of case size. Knowing the Weipong line so well and having, once again, recently visited the Weipong Factory in Yangzhou to see first-hand the improvements made to the machines since 2019, we had no hesitation in ordering a second line.”
“This is the 11th line for the UK and Ireland alone, not counting the numerous machines already running in Europe, North Africa and the Middle East,” adds David Williams. “The Weipong lines are robust and excellent value for money; there are plenty of examples of happy customers like Nuttall Packaging here in the UK, including recently started up machines at The Box Factory, BoxWay Group, Fastbox and RH Fibreboard, to name a few.
